I discovered my love for Computer Science when I was 12 years old, and my excitement for the subject has been growing ever since.
I signed up for the robotics class through which my team participated in the Greek Robotics competition organized by WRO Hellas in 2019. This was my first experience in a school competition.
Robotics required software development, so I took programming classes at school where I spent time developing programs in C++ and Python. This gave me the necessary background to participate in the Greek Informatics Competition in 2021-2022, reaching the National Final after two successful qualifying rounds. A very valuable experience that I repeated in 2022-2023.
One of the most interesting experiences I’ve had was when I supervised the technical support team during the School Career Day in March 2022, which took place online for the first time ever due to Covid-19 restrictions. This event was very demanding as several parallel sessions were broadcast live to all students and parents, and speakers often required last-minute technical support. Quick thinking, good temper, teamwork, and technical ability had to be employed and sharpened on the spot.
In March 2023, the 1st Greek Cybersecurity Contest for Students organized by the University of Piraeus and the Hellenic Cybersecurity Team took place. After completing all the 17 tasks successfully, I obtained the 5th place. This contest is by far my favorite experience in the field and it feels like it opened a door to a whole new world.
In June 2023, I took the Panhellenic Exams for University Admission through which I was admitted to the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
When I am not sitting in front of a screen, I love reading books, either fiction or non-fiction, listening to music, and playing the piano.
I speak Greek, English and French.
